Square Enix announced earlier this month that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be hitting PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2016. The game is targeting 30fps/1080p on Sony’s current-generation system.

In addition to featuring the full game, the 20 Year Celebration edition includes a wealth of extra content, including the new Blood Ties mission that features PlayStation VR support. Beyond that, there’s an Endurance co-op mode, new costumes, plus all existing downloadable content thrown into the mix.

Tomb Raider celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, having first launched on the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and PC back in fall 1996. The series has since gone on to sell over 45 million units of software worldwide, and became synonymous with Sony’s original console during the late 90s alongside the likes of Resident Evil and Tekken.

The movie franchise is receiving a reboot in March 2018 with Alicia Vikander taking on the role of Lara Croft.
