PlayStation Korea has confirmed that Sony will be unveiling a new PlayStation 4 later this week.
According to the format holder, the new PS4 system will receive an official price and release date in Hong Kong on September 8, just one day after Sony hosts its PlayStation Meeting in New York City.

It wasn't specified if this new console will be the PS4 Slim or the PS4 Neo, although both are expected to be announced this week. The PS4 Slim is already out in the wild having been sold on Gumtree late last month, and also appearing on eBay and CEX a few days later.
In addition to featuring a more compact design, the PS4 Slim includes a new DualShock 4 controller that implements a brand new light bar above the touchpad. The PS4 Slim release date is reportedly set for September 14.
The PS4 Neo, meanwhile, has been rumored for some time now, although Sony confirmed its existence during an interview with The Financial Times the week prior to E3. The console offers improved visual fidelity although is not intended to replace the regular PS4 console.
Sony launched the PS4 in November 2013 and quickly pulled ahead of its lead rival, the Xbox On. Earlier this year, the console maker confirmed it had shipped over 40 million PS4s worldwide to date.
