Update 12:18pm BST – All PSN services are now restored.
PlayStation Network has fallen into a spot of downtime following some routine maintenance conducted by Sony this morning. The format holder has confirmed that it is now looking into the matter.
PSN down again following maintenance period
PSN maintenance was scheduled earlier today and appears to have kicked off another bout of downtime for the service, with PSN offline errors flooding in from users across the web in the past 30 minutes or so. The maintenance itself was only due to take place for roughly an hour.
Sony has taken to its official ‘Ask PlayStation U.K.’ Twitter page to confirm it is aware of the problem: "Good morning! We are looking into this at the moment," wrote the console maker.
Sure enough, the PSN service status page displays numerous areas in the ‘red’ zone, indicating that Sony’s online behemoth is experiencing multiple problems at present.
