Square Enix has confirmed that it will be releasing a new update for Final Fantasy 15 on PlayStation 4 from January 24, which fleshes out the JRPG’s photographing features.
Chiefly, the update will afford you the chance to play about with self-photographing outside of battles, as opposed to having to make do with the shonky Canon control from Prompto. Now, you can simply point his lens anywhere you wish.
Elsewhere, Final Fantasy 15 players can also enjoy the much-anticipated Moogle Chocobo Carnival, plus a festive overhaul for Noctis and some extra photo frames. Note that you will have needed to grab the related Holiday Packs from the PlayStation Store to access some of the content, as well as purchasing the Season Pass to access the Festive Ensemble.
Final Fantasy 15 was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2016 following an arduous production cycle, which initially began way over a decade ago for PlayStation 3, where the project was known as Final Fantasy Versus 13. Developed later shifted to current-generation systems back in 2012, and the game was re-revealed the following year at Sony’s E3 showcase under a new title.
One of the main highlights of this latest series installment is the return of an open-world to explore, allowing gamers to indulge in numerous side quests away from the main story. The combat side of things has also been shifted to adopt a more action-oriented template that has more in common with Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy Type-0 than earlier titles in the series.
