Voice actor Nolan North has let slip that Bungie has already mapped out the Destiny 3 story, according to an individual who spoke with him at the Supanova Expo in Australia over the weekend.
Posting on Reddit, user JakusSlayer said that he had a lengthy discussion with the Nathan Drake actor, although noted he wasn’t willing to divulge much about Destiny 2. He did, however, confirm that his contract with Bungie for voicing Ghost extends “for the next 10 years at least.” North took over the role from Peter Dinklage for 2015’s Destiny: The Taken King expansion.
While the Destiny 3 release won’t be with us for a few years at least, North’s comments seemingly confirm that Bungie is sticking with the franchise for the long haul, which ties in with rumors dating back before the original Destiny launch in 2014.

Destiny 2 is scheduled for release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on September 8 ,2017. The game takes place following a major attack by a Cabal unit known as The Dark Legion, forcing Guardians to abandon the Tower and humanity’s last stronghold before launching a counterattack. As a result, all previously obtained weapons and gear have been lost, although players will still be able to transfer their characters’ aesthetic qualities over to the sequel.
Bungie has implemented a number of changes for Destiny 2, chief among which includes reducing the multiplayer battles to 4v4 as opposed to the much larger-scale bouts of the original game. In addition, the game’s open-world will feature multiple side quests to tackle known as Adventures, which can be obtained by talking to local NPCs. As expected, each of the three Guardian classes (Hunter, Titan, and Warlock) boast all-new Super abilities and exotic/legendary weapons.
Destiny 2 will feature a wealth of post-launch content support, with Bungie already planning two major expansions for release by fall 2018. As with the original game, PS4 owners will gain exclusive content for at least one year, although Bungie has yet to comment on what this may include.
