Heroes

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Orisa’s ultimate to charge while her Supercharger was deployed

Overwatch was release for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in May 2016 and takes the form of an online, team-based multiplayer shooter. Players are split into two teams of six, with 24 characters available to choose from, each one possessing unique attributes and abilities and base on four categories: Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support. Teams must work together to capture and defend control points on the map, or escort payloads across terrain with a limited amount of time available.

Announced in 2014, Overwatch is the fourth major series from Blizzard and follows the cancellation of the Warcraft developer’s ambitious MMORPG Titan, although members of the team were later responsible for dreaming up the concept for Overwatch. The game launched to critical acclaim and went on to scoop numerous accolades, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards, DICE Awards, and the Game Developers Choice Awards.

Blizzard has continued to roll out new updates for Overwatch since its launch a year ago, including new characters and events. Just recently, the studio marked the game’s one-year anniversary with a special loot-based event and repackage Overwatch for a Game of the Year edition release.
