The new No Man’s Sky update 1.3 is due to land soon, and the first screenshot has emerged out of the stars.
Judging by the screenshot above, it looks the patch will deliver a mysterious portal. In front of the portal is some of kind of dial.
Fans have begun to speculate as to what it might mean over at the No Man’s Sky Reddit page, and it’s been noted that the symbols are identical to the ones on the wakingtitan.com page.
Waking Titan is the new ARG (alternate reality game) that Hello Games has been teasing for months.
Fans are also been guessing what the portal might be used for, with some players hoping that it will bring the game more in line with its PC counterpart.
“Well PS4 players would like the ability to move around the galaxy to awesome locations like PC players can, and it seems reasonable the Portals could be used for that,” writes Azir.
"The pessimist in me thinks it’s just like Stargate, and every planet will have its own address. The optimist in me hopes the portals lead to somewhere special, or serve more of a purpose,” writes another player.
A release date for the No Man’s Sky update 1.3 has yet to be confirmed.
