Bungie has rolled out a new Destiny 2 trailer highlighting the game’s side quests, which are known as Adventures.
New to Destiny 2, these side missions are narrative-focused activities that include anything from destroying a number of enemies, help Asher with research, or testing a theory for Ikora. Check out the Destiny 2 Adventures in the trailer below.
Destiny 2 launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow, September 6. The PC version will arrive on October 24. The game takes place following the events of Destiny’s Rise of Iron, and sees the Tower come under attack from a Cabal-lead unit known as the Red Legion, resulting in the local Guardians retreating to a new social space known as the Farm.
Bungie has introduced a number of new features to Destiny 2, including a fully revamped multiplayer mode that focuses on 4v4 battles. The game will ship with six Strikes, one of which will be exclusive to PS4 owners.
The Destiny 2 power level cap has been confirmed at 300 for launch, while the level cap is the same as the original game, namely 20. Meanwhile, the Guided Games and Raid will be made available not long after the game’s release, followed by High-Dynamic Range (HDR) support.
While Destiny 2 will be the focus of Bungie’s attention going forward, the original game is not going to be shut down anytime soon. However, don’t expect any future update to hit Destiny 1 going forward, though presumably we’ll still be getting a weekly refresh as far as the Nightfall is concerned.
Looking ahead, details on the first Destiny 2 DLC have already leaked, which is believed to be titled The Curse of Osiris and will feature the Vex race prominently.
Apparently, Bungie has even mapped out a potential Destiny 3, with Nolan North, who voices Ghost in the series, letting slip that his contract extends for the next decade.
