Sony has confirmed that it will manufacturing real Platinum Trophies for lucky Australian gamers, providing they are skilled enough to unlock the top-tier reward in specific titles.
The reward comes as part of the format holder’s PlayStation Plus Platinum Trophy Hunters initiative, although right now it’s only confirmed for Australia. As the name implies, you must also own a subscription to PS Plus.
Gamers are tasked with unlocking the Platinum Trophy in titles such as FIFA 18, Gran Turismo Sport, Call of Duty WW2, plus one other as-yet unannounced title. Those who are first to bag the trinket in Australia will be rewarded with a shiny, real-life Platinum Trophy for their troubles.
Those of you who fancy trying their luck simply have to take a snapshot and post it on Facebook, “tagging @PlayStationAU and using the hashtag #PlusPlatinumHunters.”
