Electronic Arts announced overnight that the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta has been extended by two days.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta extended!

The beta was originally due to wrap up today, but will now end tomorrow, October 11, 2017. Those of you who have yet to sample the upcoming science fiction shooter can at least now get some time with the game ahead of release.

We’ve already sunk plenty of time into the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta, so be sure to read our impressions.

If you haven’t already downloaded the beta, be sure to free up some space on your PS4. It’ll take up approximately 15.3GB on your console.

The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta allows players to battle it out on three maps: Naboo, Fondor, Takodana. You can also take part in three game types, which involve on-foot missions and a chance to try out Battlefront 2’s celebrated air combat missions.

While the main game will feature a full-fledged single-player campaign, the beta is a multiplayer-only affair. There are, however, daily rewards and challenges to keep you plugging away at the action, so there’s plenty to keep you busy until the close date.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is due for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on November 17, 2017.

The game is the direct follow up to 2015’s rebooted Battlefront, and features content from three major eras: The Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, and Sequel Trilogy.

As mentioned, Battlefront 2 features a dedicated single-player campaign, which comes as a direct response to criticism from the original game.

EA has promised that Battlefront 2 will have a ‘huge amount of content’ and will be supported by dedicated servers. This will ensure that the multiplayer runs as smoothly as possible without any hiccups.
