Dallas-based developer The Fun Pimps has announced via the PlayStation Blog that 7 Days to Die will be hitting PlayStation 4 on June 28 in North America and July 1st in Europe.
Originally released on the PC to great success, 7 Days to Die is an amalgamation of various gameplay styles, marrying first-person shooting, crafting, horror and tower-defence as players survive in a post-apocalyptic world infested with, yep, you’ve guessed it—zombies.
You’ll have to build your own base camp and defend it against attacking wildlife and undead hordes, as well as manage essential supplies including weapons and healing items. Even worse, you begin literally naked in the world, so it’s a fight for survival from the get-go. No one said it would be easy.
The console version of 7 Days to Die also boasts a split-screen and online co-op mode and is being handled by Iron Galaxy. What’s more, pre-order customers will bag themselves a Michonne and Lee Everett skin inspired by Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead video game.
