Ubisoft has announced that Creative House 2 has been renamed Massive Entertainment, and will serve as the label for key franchises including Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and the new IP March of Giants.
Previously, Massive Entertainment operated as part of Ubisoft and was the main driver behind the Division series, as well as working on the likes of Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. As a result of this latest development however, the studio has expanded to take over the reins of other major Ubisoft IPs.
Massive Entertainment will encompass development teams based in Montreal, Paris, Sweden, and Toronto, all of which will operate under the brand and builds on a “nearly three-decade legacy established in Sweden through its games and technology, earning the trust of players and recognition from industry peers alike.“
“Massive Entertainment has always been defined by passion, ambition and incredible talent, and our focus now is on what comes next,” said Christoph Hartmann, General Manager of Massive Entertainment. “Bringing our teams together under one identity gives us the opportunity to combine the creative energy and expertise across Montréal, Paris, Sweden and Toronto to shape the next generation of these iconic franchises, create new games and IPs, and push our craft and technology forward.”
