Bandai Namco Entertainment today announced it’s bringing the crossover, action RPG Accel World vs. Sword Art Online to North America (digital-only) and Europe (physical and digital) this summer for the PlayStation 4 and Vita.
Both Sword Art Online and the lesser-known Accel World are franchises created by Reki Kawahara, with each starting as separate light novel series. Their stories deal with teenagers who play MMORPGs and have spawned anime adaptations. For those who want to get more familiar with the lesser-known Accel World, the anime is available streaming on Hulu.
The crossover game will launch in Japan on March 16 and is developed by Studio ArtDink, who were responsible for Sword Art Online: Lost Song.
