Aliens: Fireteam Elite Developer Has Moved On To Its Next Game, Will Release Quality Of Life Updates For Fireteam Elite

Aliens: Fireteam Elite developer Cold Iron Studios shared “an important update about Aliens: Fireteam Elite” on the game’s official Twitter account, where it told players that it has moved on to work on its next title.

It also announced that it will be releasing a few “long-requested quality of life updates to Aliens: Fireteam Elite, with the first update coming tomorrow, October 24.”

The studio says it is “committed to providing these updates while we’re hard at work on our next major project. Future updates will include many of the community’s most prominent requests, such as fixes to matchmaking and improvements to everyone’s favourite Synths, Alpha and Beta.”

Cold Iron Studios also revealed that it has a new studio head in Elena Siegman who will lead production and development, while Kendall Deacon Davis will be “spearheading creative.”

“I’m honored for the opportunity to lead the talented developers at Cold Iron Studios into their brilliant future,” Siegman said in a post on the studios official website.

“It’s my goal to make it as easy as possible for our team to share their career-defining work with players. We believe we’re brewing something special, and cannot wait to show the world what we’re working on.”

Fans have responded to the post positively, though the big question on minds of Fireteam Elite fans is what exactly will be in these coming updates. Hopefully we’ll see detailed patch notes with tomorrow’s update, and even a roadmap as to what else is coming.

Beyond that, it’s exciting to know that Cold Iron Studios is fully into its next project. While Fireteam Elite might not go down as the best game made based off the Alien franchise, it was a much more solid co-op shooter than we’ve seen in the past.

Whatever the studios next project is will certainly be exciting to look for, as it will hopefully build off its learnings from Fireteam Elite.

“Building on the success of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Cold Iron is hard at working making a new experience for fans to sink their teeth into. More updates will be coming as development is further along.”
