Amazon PS4 and Xbox One customers in the UK who pre-ordered the company’s exclusive Limited Edition of Batman Arkham Knight could face a delay of up to three weeks on their purchase thanks to a quality issue with the packaging.
This comes not long after the pricey Batmobile Edition was canned because of problems with the model Batmobile’s quality.
In an e-mail to a customer -that was picked up by Videogamer.com- Amazon wrote the following.
"We wanted to let you know that Batman Arkham Knight – Amazon.co.uk Exclusive Limited Edition (Xbox One), from your order will be delayed as the manufacturer has advised us that there’s been a packaging quality issue.
"We want to ensure that your order reaches you in pristine condition and your item, with the updated packaging, should be with you no later than 14 July, 2015."
Happily, Amazon are issuing download codes of the game itself to compensate for the delay, and will still ship the original package as soon as possible.
The Limited Edition remains on sale at Amazon despite the issue.
