In case you didn’t need more convincing that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is setting sail in the near future, PEGI has now posted up a rating for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, which is likely the official title for the as-yet unannounced remake
The filing was spotted by YouTuber ‘Corkben’ and notes that there are no listed platforms in the rating, which has given the game an 18 rating. Other than that there’s not much else to digest at this point, but with The Game Awards 2025 now just a few days away, hopefully we won’t have long to wait for some official info.
Recently, a report on Insider-Gaming stated that Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Remake would launch by March 31, 2026, claiming the project is the ‘unannounced game’ listed on Ubisoft’s recent earnings report. Following this, known leaker and YouTuber ‘xj0nathan’ stated that the remake will feature a weather system similar to the one seen in AC Shadows, as well as enhanced menus and map.
Back in June, Edward Kenway’s voice actor Matt Ryan strongly hinted that remake of Black Flag was in the works, after telling a fan a a signature setting that they “might have to beat it [Assassin’s Creed Black Flag again” when asked if he had finished the game himself.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag launched in 2013 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, and takes place during the Golden Age of Piracy towards the end of the 1700s.
