Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Reportedly To Include Extra Content Including ‘A Cast Of New Characters And Stories’

Ubisoft is reportedly fleshing out the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced with a host of additional content not seeing in the original 2013 version of the swashbuckling adventure game.

That’s according to a summary posted on the Indonesian Game Ratings System, which suffered a major security breach yesterday that revealed a number of details on upcoming titles. According to the description, the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake will add new stories and an extra cast of characters, as seen below:

This title breathes new life into a fan favourite while remaining carefully faithful to the spirit of the original. It follows the story of charismatic pirate and Assassin Edward Kenway as he adventures through 18th Century Caribbean with parkours in cities, and battles at seas, in search of fortune and glory. Modernized in 2026, the new game includes a cast of new characters and stories.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is reportedly set for a full reveal on April 16, with Ubisoft officially acknowledging the game’s existence in a press release earlier this year. Prior to that, the Black Flag remake had been rumoured for well over two years, and was rated by PEGI late last year.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was originally released for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in late 2013, and is set during the Golden Age of Piracy in the Caribbean, where players following privateer-turned-assassin Edward Kenway as he command his ship, the Jackdaw, in search of riches while battling the Templar Order.
