Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection PS4 Pro patch confirmed

Ubisoft has announced that it will release a day-one patch for Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection to enable PlayStation Pro support.

The update will provide owners of 4K TVs with enhanced image quality thanks to the resolution bump, while those of you playing on a regular 1080p-compatible TV will see their game ‘super sampled’ to allow for smoother looking visuals.

Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection release date set for this Friday

Ubisoft will launch Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Friday, November 18. As mentioned, the Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection PS4 Pro patch will be available on the day of release, so those of you who own Sony’s high-end machine would do well to grab it before you boot the game up.

The bundle remasters three of last generation’s most celebrated Assassin’s Creed titles, namely the critically acclaimed Ezio Trilogy consisting of Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. In addition to improved visuals, the pack also includes all available DLC plus two short films fleshing out Ezio’s story. Sadly however, the collection eschews the multiplayer modes for Brotherhood and Revelations.

Assassin’s Creed is making the jump to the big screen this December, with Michael Fassbender fronting the movie adaptation of Ubisoft’s stealth-action franchise. The film features its own storyline however, and sees Fassbender’s character using the Animus to retrace his ancestor’s life as an assassin during the Spanish Inquisition.
