Assassin’s Creed Hexe To Deliver ‘Unique, Darker, Narrative Driven Experience,’ Says Ubisoft

Ubisoft has issued a brief update on Assassin’s Creed Hexe, the next full-fledged instalment in the long-running franchise that was originally announced back 2022 alongside Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

While the French publisher is keeping its cards close to its chest right now, a PR email from the game’s newly-appointed creative director, Jean Guesdon, regarding the future of the series confirms that Assassin’s Creed Hexe is very much still in the works at a “veteran team here at Ubisoft Montreal.” Furthermore, Guesdon also revealed that the project will offer “a unique, darker, narrative driven Assassin’s Creed experience” that will take place “during a pivotal moment in history.”

We are taking the time to deliver on its ambitious vision, which means we’ll be quiet for a while longer, but we love seeing all the enthusiasm happening on our channels and can’t wait to unveil more when the time is right,” he added.

Earlier this week, Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming commented that Assassin’s Creed Hexe is likely to arrive around Holiday 2027, with the game’s combat system having been given a recent overhaul. He also claimed that Assassin’s Creed II hero Ezio Auditore was set to appear about halfway through the game to teach its protagonist, Elsa, the ways of the Creed, although none of this info has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft.
