Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not feature real gambling of any kind and that listings of an Adults Only were a mistake.
Speaking in a statement issued to GI.biz, the publisher stated:
Following the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Mirage during Ubisoft Forward, some store pages mistakenly displayed the game for preorders with an Adults Only ESRB rating and are being fixed.
While Assassin’s Creed Mirage is still pending rating, Ubisoft wants to reassure players that no real gambling or lootboxes are present in the game.

In case you missed it, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Xbox Store listing featured an AO rating from the ESRB, while the Ubisoft Forward stream also featured the same rating. It is interesting that the rating managed to find a place on Ubisoft’s own stream, and the publisher didn’t address that point directly.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for release in 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
Ubisoft confirmed during press interviews recently that Assassin’s Creed is moving forward to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S only, which means AC Mirage is the last game for last-gen hardware.
