Then you’re probably going to want to check out Ubisoft’s new trailer for the upcoming stealth title, which offers clarify on where the game takes place in relation to the timeline and how Basim’s story fits in to the narrative.
One thing that Ubisoft mentions is that you can come into Assassin’s Creed Mirage without having really much knowledge of the previous titles, as it functions as a standalone story. The game takes place in 9th century Baghdad, and focuses on Basim, who fans may remember from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and Ubisoft reportedly has many projects in the franchise lined up over the next couple of years. These included Assassin’s Creed Codename Red and Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, which are officially announced, but there’s apparently 11 games in total planned including a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
