Assassin’s Creed Origins will boast the largest game world to date in the multi-million selling action-adventure franchise.

Assassin’s Creed game world is massive

Speaking in a new video, Ubisoft explained that the overall size is similar to that of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but crucially, is far more dense, offering vast amounts of landscape to explore as opposed to miles of sea.

As such, Origins offers the largest world to explore in the series so far, packed with hidden secrets and bustling cities, where multiple quests, wildlife hunting opportunities, and other activities await players.

Recreating the entire country as a single open world is one of Assassin’s Creed Origins’ greatest achievements,” says the video.

Ubisoft previously touched on Origins’ open world, stating that while it’s substantial in terms of scale, it’s important to remember that size isn’t everything when it comes to videogames.

We already know that Assassin’s Creed Origins will see a return to the classic tomb raiding elements of the earlier titles, which will manifest here as ancient pyramids and crypts from the old kingdoms.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 27, 2017.

Ubisoft recently delved into the game’s combat, which completely overhauls everything you know about the series’ mechanics up to this point. In short, expect a much tougher time dispatching your enemies.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is the first full-fledged entry in the stab-happy franchise since 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, after which Ubisoft opted to rest the series for a year.
