Assassin’s Creed Unity will feature boss battles and allow players to wield long-range weapons, according to an extensive preview from Game Informer (via AttackoftheFanBoy).
Ubisoft’s Alex Pedneault explained that boss scraps have been implemented into the latest instalment in the historical action-adventure franchise to “amp up the tension.”
Pedneault went on to state that these encounters “are challenging,” with foes able to perform the same maneuvers as protagonist Arno. However, he promised they won’t be too frustrating, but wouldn’t be a walk in the park, either.
Elsewhere, long-range weapons including “spears, pikes, and staves” have been added to the game. Unlike previous assassins however, Arno will only have a single hidden blade.
Assassin’s Creed Unity is scheduled to ship for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in October.
