Astro Bot Director Confirms Plans For DLC Featuring Speed Run Stages

Speaking during the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, Nicolas Doucet, the director of Astro Bot, has revealed that developer Team Asobi is planning DLC for the game that includes speed run stages.

We plan to release DLC that includes playful stages and exciting speed run stages like in the previous game by the end of the year, so please look forward to it.

Earlier this week, Doucet revealed that there’s no plans to release a PSVR 2 version of Astro Bot, stating that the game is “designed for a different medium.” However, he didn’t rule out a PC edition, and suggested that fans let the team know they want to see it happen.

The new Astro Bot game was announced by Sony during its latest State of Play event, and is a full-blown adventure that is roughly four times the size of Astro’s Playroom. The game will feature more than 80 different stages and over 15 new abilities for Astro to utilise, and will include over 150 PlayStation character cameos for players to uncover.

Recently, it was confirmed that Crash Bandicoot will be featured in the game despite Activision now being owned by Microsoft.
