Larian Studios has revealed on X that Baldur’s Gate III Update 7 on PS5 is arriving in October, slightly later than expected due to it having to go through all the required technical checks.
The developer previously warned PS5 owners that it would take a bit longer to get the update out the door, with the PC version having arrived today. However, at least we now have a better idea of when it’ll drop for Sony’s console.

Mac and console players, it’s going to take a little longer to get Patch 7 through all the necessary technical checks and requirements and into your hands. Although later than we originally expected, you should be diving into Patch 7 this October. We appreciate you for bearing with us, and will make sure to keep you updated with our progress!
Baldur’s Gate III launched for PS5 in September last year and went on to garner rave reviews and won numerous awards in the months following its release. Despite its success, Larian Studios confirmed its next project is not only going to be unrelated to Baldur’s Gate, but it’s moving away from Dungeons & Dragons entirely.
Having said that, the studio has revealed that Update 7 is not going to be the final patch for the fantasy-RPG, and has a few things up its sleeves to come, including a Photo Mode and Cross-Play.
