Battlefield 2042 will incorporate Cross-Progression and Cross-Commerce across all platforms, developer Ripple Effect Studios and publisher EA has confirmed.
This is pretty major news, as for example, it means that any progress and purchases you make in the PlayStation versions of the game can be unlocked on the PC and Xbox editions. It also joins the recently-announced Cross-Play feature, which will allow PC and console players to play together.

With Battlefield 2042 Cross-Play now in the works, Ripple Effect Studios has announced plans to delay the Technical Playtest, which is now pushed to later in the Summer.
Battlefield 2042 is pencilled in for release on October 22, 2021 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Ripple Effect Studios recently said that the game will feature remastered classic maps, which sounds an awful lot like the rumored Battlefield Hub.
With EA Play due to take place later this month, expect more details on Battlefield 2042 to drop then. Stay tuned.
