DICE’s Alex Christofi has revealed in an exchange on social media that the console versions of Battlefield 6 will support mouse and keyboard.
“When have it!” Christofi replied, when asked about mouse & keyboard support for consoles. That’s about all we have to go on regarding this topic, but at least we have confirmation. DICE had previously confirmed that the Performance Mode for Battlefield 6 will offer a silky-smooth 60 FPS on all consoles, including Xbox Series S.

Beyond that, the development team have revealed that Battlefield 6 will support skill-based matchmaking for its multiplayer, focussing on four key areas to ensure a smooth experience for all users. Fans who were somewhat disappointed with the last few Battlefield games will be pleased to know that, according to EA’s Vine Zampella, Battlefield 6 is a spiritual successor to the fan-favourites Battlefield 3 and 4.
Battlefield 6 is pencilled in for release on October 10, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
