Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to have 40-player multiplayer

OXM UK’s latest issue delivers an interesting tidbit of info about Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The game’s online mode, which was capped at 24 players in the original game, will be expanded to include up to 40 players per match.

A scan with this information was posted on EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 forum. OXM’s blurb reads:

FORTY-FIED MULTIPLAYER
EA hasn’t yet made any announcements about the multiplayer side of the game. The only thing we know for certain is that 40 people will be able to duke it out on to servers when the sequel hits rather than Bad Company’s previous player cap of 24. New game modes and plenty of maps a shoo-in however, that’s what sequels are made for after all.

So are you ready to hop onto the battlefield again, or would you rather look for better company?
