A movie adaptation of EA’s multi-million selling Battlefield franchise is in development according to The Hollywood Reporter, which claims that Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Sinners) is set to produce and possibly even star in the film.
According to the report, Christopher McQuarrie is attached to the Battlefield movie as a writer, and will also serve as producer and director. Meanwhile, additional producers include Electronic Arts’ Jesse Stern, Emerald Neon’s Carter Swan, Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Miri Yoon, and Elizabeth Raposo from Outlier Society. McQuarrie and others reportedly pitched the project to studios and streamers including Apple and Sony last Thursday, with other meetings taking place the following day. It is understood that the Battlefield film is being prioritised as a theatrical release.
