The Battlefield TV series, based on DICE’s popular shooter franchise, is in production with Academy Award winner, Michael Sugar (Spotlight, Rendition, The Knick) named as executive producer alongside Anonymous Content’s Ashley Zalta.
Battlefield TV series set for explosive debut
With more than 60 million Battlefield players worldwide, the franchise is branching out, and Paramount TV has partnered with Anonymous Content (Mr. Robot, True Detective) for a ‘first-look production deal for scripted television programming across broadcast, premium cable, cable and online audiences’.
Speaking on the new Battlefield TV show, Paramount said:
“EA’s Battlefield has an incredibly dynamic narrative, coupled with a loyal fan base, which will allow us to bring this exciting and unique property to the small screen. We look forward to working with EA and Anonymous Content and thank Michael Sugar for his tenacity in bringing us this exciting project.”
A release date for the Battlefield TV series has yet to be confirmed.
