Battlestar Galactica writer is working on new Sony Santa Monica game, not God of War 4

Today at the San Diego Comic-Con, television screenwriter Michael Angeli, best known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, Dark Angel, and Caprica, announced at the Battlestar Galactica panel that he is currently working with Sony Santa Monica on a new project.

Angeli revealed that he has been writing for the unannounced game, which is not a new God of War title, for the past two and a half years. He went on to say that after God of War: Ascension wrapped development for PlayStation 3, the full team of about 150 staffers transitioned to work on the new game.

Angeli could not elaborate further on the game or the platform it is being developed for, but he said his work on Battlestar Galactica helped him land the writing gig.

Could Angeli’s background in sci-fi mean that Sony Santa Monica is exploring the genre for its next PlayStation blockbuster? Let us know what you think in the forums or comments below.
