Beenox: Amazing Spider-Man’s ‘contents in the city evolve over time’

Brant Nicholas talked with PlayStation Universe about how its rendition of Manhattan in Amazing Spider-Man will be an evolving, dynamic metro hub.

Spider-Man looks to have his hands full in Beenox’ Manhattan with car chases, petty crimes, stand-offs, photo-based missions, and side missions. Open-world extras like these are included in a lot of popular games, but Beenox is striving to strengthen its game: "The content in the city evolves over time as the story progresses… The types of encounters that you will find at the beginning are designed to be simple and easy." As players go through the game, these same events become more difficult as players progress: "You might find yourself engaged in aerial dog-fights."

Not only is Beenox trying to diversify the game, it’s also pushing the game forward to keep it driving for players. Amazing Spider-Man releases on June 26 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
