Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been a long-anticipated game for Dragon Age fans who’ve now been waiting years for a new mainline game in the series.
2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition was the last time we saw a new entry, and while BioWare is working to finish Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, it looks like EA is doing all it can to help the game get to the finish line.
Retired developer and BioWare veteran Mark Darrah has been brought back in to help with Dreadwolf as a consultant, and the Mass Effect team has even been temporarily re-assigned to help the Dreadwolf team.
There’s still a small team working on the next Mass Effect title, but the majority of the team is now working on Dreadwolf.
“Our studio is focused on creating the best Dragon Age: Dreadwolf while the core Mass Effect team continues their pre-production work.” said the studio’s general manager Gary McKay in a statement to VentureBeat.
“We continue to iterate and polish Dreadwolf, focusing on the things that matter most to our fans.
As we further connect this new experience with the series legacy, Mark Darrah will join the team as a consultant, bringing with him years of experience working on Dragon Age.
We’re proud to have this team, this strong leadership at the helm, working together to realize the vision we have for the game.”
Dreadwolf has been entirely playable in an Alpha state as of last October, with the team working to polish it up and create the best experience possible.
With all this added support now behind it, hopefully we’ll be able to see much more of it very soon.
