PlayStation 4-exclusive dungeon crawler Bloodborne has moved over 150,000 copies in Japan during its debut week, reports Famitsu (via GearNuke).
For reference, this puts From Software’s title well ahead of debut sales of Demon’s Souls, which managed 36,000 units on PS3 back in 2009.
While Dark Souls and its sequel enjoyed far greater success than Bloodborne during its initial debut, it’s worth remembering that both titles were released on a format with a far greater user base than PS4 currently enjoys.
To be specific, Dark Souls debuted to 228,000 units while Dark Souls 2 sold 256,000 copies in its first week.
