Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look On Netflix Notched Up 31.1 Million Views In 4 Days

Netflix’s Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look brought in 31.1 million views in four days, becoming the most-viewed title on the streaming service last week.

The feature offered more than 20 minutes of brand new footage for Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title, looking at in-game footage that covered everything from combat, driving, story and more. It was released to Rockstar’s YouTube account six hours after its Netflix premiere. It reached number one under the English-language film list in 87 of 93 countries tracked by Netflix. On YouTube, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look topped 17 million views on Rockstar’s account alone.

Earlier this summer, a number of press and content creators were able to visit Rockstar North’s headquarters to see the game in action, resulting in a bunch of new details emerging last week after the embargo lifted. Among these details include the revelation that GTA VI’s map is twice the size of GTA V, and is the largest open world in Rockstar’s history. In addition, Rockstar’s Rob Nelson stated that a playthrough of the main story took him about 80 hours to complete, and it’s also been confirmed that GTA VI will run at 30 FPS on consoles.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19.
