Posting in new development update on Bloodstained, Igarashi had the following to say on the title, including plans for DLC and general optimisation for the game.
Hi everyone, IGA here.
We apologize for the continued inconvenience for certain regions this far after launch. Especially on the Nintendo Switch, we are making progress on the optimization to make sure the gameplay improves. We will do our best to deliver this as soon as possible.
Aside from the improvements, we are also working on the DLC at this very moment.
There have been many changes in the upcoming patch so it might be worth visiting back to it, even if you may have already beaten the game.
By the way, we are working on the rewards, including preparing Igaventure. In addition to that, I’ve begun working on signing the slipcases. In total… there are 4,500 for me to sign.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night launched for PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One back in June. Igarashi previously confirmed that the game will receive 13 pieces of free DLC, including multiplayer modes and and extra characters.

Bloodstained adheres to the popular Metroidvania style of gameplay that Symphony of the Night employed, with players controlling an orphan named Miriam, who travels to Demon Castle to break a terrible curse that has befallen her. Bloodstained utilises a 2.5D style that is similar to The Dracula X Chronicles and Mirror of Fate.
