The cancelled multiplayer God of War game that was in production at Bluepoint Games was planned to feature a Greek setting, as evidenced by development screenshots obtained by MP1st.
The images revealed an unmistakable Greek aesthetic featuring various temples, caverns, huge stone columns, and more. Furthermore, according to the report, Hades was set to be the owner of the armoury featured in the God of War multiplayer game, which suggests it would have taken place before God of War III if Hades was alive (assuming the game was considered canon).

Bluepoint Games’ live service God of War game was cancelled alongside another multiplayer title from Sony Bend Studio earlier this year. Earlier this month, it was reported that Bluepoint Games was now hiring for a third-person melee action title, which according to the job description will feature ‘engaging combat systems’ and boss-type characters.
While we’re on the subject of God of War, there have been widespread rumours the past few months that a spinoff title set in Greece is in development, although nothing official has been announced at this point.
