Bluepoint Games Is Hiring For A Third-Person Melee Action Title

Demon’s Souls Remake developer Bluepoint Games has revealed in a new job listing that the company is staffing up for a third-person melee action game.

The description of the role reveals that the successful applicant will work be designing enemies and boss-type characters, as well as refining combat systems and mechanics.

Work alongside Animation, Character Artists, Vis Dev, Level Design, Engineers, etc. to design enemy- and boss-type characters and refine engaging combat systems and mechanics. Applicants are expected to be able to confidently work both independently and collaborate with all stakeholders, while bringing their experience and perspectives to elevate the team and our processes as we strive to deliver our next great title.

Back in January this year, it was revealed that Bluepoint Games was working on a live-service game set in the God of War universe, but Sony had the project cancelled alongside a live-service title at Bend Studio.

Bluepoint Games was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment back in September 2021, having previously worked on a number of projects for the hardware giant including Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Shadow of the Colossus (2018), and the aforementioned Demon’s Souls PS5 remake.
