Activision is planning to lift the wraps off Call of Duty 2023 in early August 2023, according to a new report on Insider Gaming.
Much like the reveals for Call of Duty Black Ops – Cold War and Call of Duty Vanguard, it is expected that this year’s game will be revealed via an in-game event. There’s not much else known about the game right now, but it has widely been reported that Call of Duty 2023 will be a major expansion to Modern Warfare 2 developed by Sledgehammer Games.
Activision has only said that Call of Duty will receive a full premium release this year, and hasn’t clarified if this means a new game or an expansion as described above. If it is a new game, then it could be the previously rumored new Black Ops title, although take that with a pinch of salt.
Regardless, Insider-Gaming reports that Call of Duty 2023 will be released on current and last-generation systems, and is set to launch on November 10, 2023.
