Activision has released a brief teaser for the new Call of Duty game, which appears to confirm a Korean setting for the upcoming military shooter. While the title for this year’s instalment hasn’t been announced yet, it is widely rumoured to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

Developer Infinity Ward recently confirmed that this year’s entry in the franchise will indeed be a Modern Warfare game, but stopped short of confirming the Modern Warfare 4 title. Previously in late 2024, leaker TheGhostofHope stated that Infinity Ward’s next title would be a new Modern Warfare title, and would feature wall running mechanics.
In April this year, CharlieIntel, which has long been a source of all things Call of Duty, responded to a post by Call of Duty content creator TDAWG claiming the game would be out on September 22, stating “it’ll be October” in regards to the game’s release window. Furthermore, Activision itself has confirmed that the new Call of Duty won’t be released on PS4.
The Call of Duty franchise first released in 2003 and has sold over 500 million copies as of October 2023. A movie adaptation is currently in the works and is scheduled to launch in June 2028.
