Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II Reveal Could Be Close As Fan-Favourite Character Is Teased

Infinity Ward looks like it’s gearing up for the reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, as its social media channels have gone dark and appear to be teasing the appearance of fan-favourite character, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley.

While initially the studio’s profile image and header appeared to be nothing more than darkness, enhancements made to the images appear to show Ghost’s silhouette.

The character was featured in the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, and was voiced by UK actor Craig Fairbrass, who also played Gaz in the original Modern Warfare and appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in 2011.

Activision officially announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II would be this year’s entry in the multi-million selling franchise, but a reveal has yet to take place. Rumors have previously suggested that the game’s campaign will feature a morality system.

The original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launched for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360, and its campaign was remastered a few years back. With Modern Warfare remastered in 2016, that only leaves Modern Warfare 3’s campaign to be re-released for modern platforms.
