Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Warzone 2, And All Future Titles Will Be Made On One Engine

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II had its big reveal today, showcasing an action-packed trailer for the franchises next release this October. With that, we’ve since gotten some more information around this year, and the future of Call Of Duty.

Such as the fact that both Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 have been built on the engine that, moving forward, will be the one, unified game engine between every Call Of Duty studio.

It’s an effort that Stephanie Snowden, communications director says will cut down on tediously implementing different features from one engine to the next.

While it may not be the easiest past, it is the one that Snowden says is best in the long-term.

“There’s challenges associated with it in terms of merges and branches and things like that. But I would say that it’s been only for the better, because we ended up getting the best of the best of the best of the best features. And we have the best of our engineers in any particular area, working on this technology that we’re all making use of.”

If you’re already buzzing with excitement about Infinity Ward’s latest entry in the Call Of Duty franchise, then you can already go pre-order it. Though fair warning, there’s no cheaper version this time, as Activision seems to have raised prices.
