Call Of Duty Warzone Is Bringing Back Verdansk Map In April 2025

Activision has announced that the original map for Call of Duty: Warzone, Verdansk, will be making a comeback as part of the game’s fifth anniversary celebrations in April 2025.

While it was originally confirmed that Verdansk would be brought back for the battle royale title in Spring 2025, this is the first time we’ve got a specific date. Here’s what the company had to say in a post on X:

As we celebrate Call of Duty: Warzone‘s 5 Year Anniversary, it’s time to revisit a place of unforgettable memories. Verdansk returns to Call of Duty: Warzone on April 3.

Call of Duty: Warzone was originally released on March 10, 2020 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and in September 2023 was replaced by Call of Duty Warzone 2.0. While originally offering a player count of 100 for its main battle royale experience, Raven Software announced in May 2024 that this figure would be increased to 120.

In related news, it was recently reported that Call of Duty 2025, which has yet to be officially revealed by Activision, will not be exclusive to current-generation systems despite the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S having been released nearly five years ago. A report back in December 2023 claimed that this year’s game will be a sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops II and will be set five years after the events of its predecessor.
