Call Of Duty: Warzone’s Battle Royale Will Increase To 120 Players, Raven Software Confirms

Call Of Duty: Warzone’s main battle royale offering will increase from the current 100 players up to 120, developer Raven Software confirmed.

This change is coming only five months after the number of players in a Warzone match went down from 150 to 100.

“120. BR.” wrote Raven in its tweet. The change is expected to arrive this Wednesday alongside the Season 4 launch, and from the response on social media it seems like players can’t wait to jump in.

Back when Warzone originally launched, matches included 150 players, putting it well ahead of other battle royale game modes which all had less players.

The swap down to 100 has been controversial, and now the increase up to 120 has a lot of players elated. Unsurprisingly, there’s still a faction of players who’d rather return to the original 150.

With Black Ops 6 arriving likely sometime this October-November, that’s more than enough time for Raven and the rest of the contingent of studios working on Call Of Duty to gauge how players are reacting to the switch, and see if it needs to be increased or decreased again.
