Two of modern gaming's biggest bugbears have joined forces to knock the PlayStation 4 release of Capcom's Ultra Street Fighter IV off its pedestal. Namely, needless porting and bug-riddled launches.
Not only is the game a port of an update to a PS3 title that is six yearsold, but since the game released a flood of issues have been reported, many of which we experienced ourselves (see our review tomorrow). These include severe glitching and lag that appears even in offline modes. Some seasoned veterans of the Street Fighter scene have also reported new balance issues with certain characters.
Worse still for Capcom, they planned for this to be the definitive version of the game. Meaning it was meant to be the version played at professional tournaments, but there has been much dissension from competitors over the current state of the title.
