CD Projekt RED Director Says “Never On My Watch” Regarding Crunch On New Witcher Installment

Game director Jason Slama has clearly said “Never on my watch!” when prodded on Twitter about CD Projekt RED’s terrible track record of abusing and burning out developers with their crunch culture.

Slama is indicating that things will be better this time around, as he prepares to take the lead on CDPR’s newest Witcher game, which was just recently announced.

Spotted by website Gamespot, the report points out that Slama had been the lead on Gwent since 2018, and before that worked on The Witcher 3.

As Twitter user octolingtime seems to find it difficult to believe Slama, it’s likely many other players will as well, until it becomes clear that Slama has kept his word – or not.

Hopefully though, after everything the developer has been through with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, a change for the better is coming, and they will really make an effort to erode all aspects of a crunch culture from their studio.
