Concord has officially been taken offline, developer Firewalk Studios confirmed today. Earlier this week the announcement was made for the game’s plug to be pulled, which the studio and PlayStation step away to figure out what is best for the future of the live service title.
The news was announced with a simple post on Twitter, thanking those who did give the game a chance and jumped into what was meant to be the next major step in Sony’s live service plans.
Of course Concord could come back,
It’s unprecedented, that a game with so much time and money put into it, one that was supposed to be live service forever-game, is just gone so soon after it launched. The game barely lasted two weeks when it was all said and done.
For Concord to fail so miraculously, it puts thoughts immediately on the next coming live service titles from PlayStation – at leas the ones we know about. Will Fairgame$ and Marathon suffer a similar fate?
We’ll just have to see.
