Square Enix is keen to remind gamers that its upcoming Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is more than just a simple remaster, and has released a trailer to illustrate just why that is.
Check it out below.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is pencilled in for a December 13, 2022 release on PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. The original version of the game was released in PSP back in 2008, and this is the first time it’s been ported across to other hardware.
As Square Enix has pointed out, the game is more than a simple remaster, as the game’s character models have been completely revamped to bring them more or less up to speed with modern hardware. There’s also a rearranged soundtrack and all-new voice acting to enjoy.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion takes place before the events of the iconic 1997 PSOne RPG Final Fantasy 7, and follows Zack Fair, a member of SOLDIER who is tasked with investigating the disappearance of teammate Genesis Rhapsodos.
