According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, Cyberpunk 2077 team members at CD Projekt RED were locked out of their workstations following the cyber attack on the Polish developer earlier this month.
The report reveals that a large chunk of CD Projekt RED’s staff are currently working from home due to COVID-19, as expected, but the cyber attack saw them unable to access the developer’s private network for weeks. As such, they have not been able to access the required tools to continue working remotely.
In addition to the above, Bloomberg claims that the cyber attack has possibly exposed the personal information of CDPR employees, including Polish identification numbers and passport details. As a result, the studio asked staff to freeze their accounts and report to “relevant parties.”
Yesterday, CDPR confirms that the much-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.2 had been delayed as a result of complications brought on by the hack.
