Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 is slated to arrive on October 22, and CDPR will offer a closer look at the patch tomorrow.
“New Edgerunners, new chrome, new playstyle? Sounds like we need another REDstreams! Join us this Wednesday, October 21st at 5 PM CEST for a closer look at Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5) and some of the features coming to Cyberpunk 2077. We’re talking cyberware customization, a new dual-wielding playstyle, and more,” the company wrote on X.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 is a standalone sequel series to the original Edgerunners, which launched in 2022 to critical acclaim. Cyberpunk 2077 was released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 10, 2020 but the console versions were plagued by numerous performance issues and bugs, which took months to fix with various post-launch updates. In total, CDPR spent around $125 million fixing the game alongside developing the game’s expansion, Phantom Liberty.
The native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions would later fix these issues and CDPR would keep things ticking over with various other patches arriving over the past few years. As of July 2026, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 40 million units worldwide.
